Recycled Silver Small Fern Leaf Earrings.

These earrings have been individually handcrafted in Croyde, North Devon, from 'Silver Clay', a wonderful material made of tiny silver particles that have been recycled from the waste of the silver industry, which when fired become 99.99% pure solid silver.

The earrings have been formed by hand from silver clay using a real fern leaf skeleton to imprint the delicate leaf vein pattern on to the surface of the silver. They have then been coated with a patina which blackens the surface of the silver, before polishing the surface of the silver back to a silver finish, leaving the patina in the veins to accentuate them beautifully.

Each Leaf measures 1.2cm long and 1cm wide and hang from handmade sterling silver ear wires that are made from recycled silver, and will arrive with you in a Recycled Wild Silver Jewellery box, safely packaged in 100% recycled, plastic free packaging.

Also pictured are the matching pendants which are also available on my website.

Fern leaves are a symbol of humility and sincerity towards others, in Japanese culture they symbolise family and the hope for future generations. They are the national plant of New Zealand and represent new life and new beginnings in Maori culture, so this little pendant is the perfect gift for the kiwi in your life!

I plant a tree for every order placed!

Please have a look at my ‘about’ pages for more details on silver clay and the processes involved in making each piece, as well as the Wild Silver Jewellery 'story' and the steps I take to minimise my environmental impact throughout jewellery making and distribution.
