Eco Friendly Large Silver Fern Leaf Pendant.
 
This Fern Leaf pendant has been individually handcrafted in Croyde, North Devon from 'Silver Clay', a wonderful material made of tiny silver particles that have been recycled from the waste of the silver industry, which when fired become 99.99% pure solid silver.
 
The beautiful leaf on the front of the pendant has been achieved by imprinting a real fern leaf into the clay, leaving the delicate leaf vein pattern onto the surface of the silver. It has then been coated with a patina which blackens the surface of the silver, before polishing the surface of the silver back to a silver finish, leaving the patina in the veins to accentuate them beautifully.
 
The Fern leaf measures 3cm tall including the ring and 1.6cm across at its widest point.
 
The original leaf used to create this pendant was found on the lanes in between Putsborough and Croyde in North Devon.
 
The Pendant is available either as a pendant alone, or strung on your choice of Sterling Silver Chain. It will arrive with you in a Recycled Wild Silver Jewellery box, safely packaged in 100% recycled, plastic free packaging.
 
Fern leaves are a symbol of humility and sincerity towards others, in Japanese culture they symbolise family and the hope for future generations. They are the national plant of New Zealand and represent new life and new beginnings in Maori culture, so this little pendant is the perfect gift for the kiwi in your life!
