Eco Friendly Limpet Stud Earrings

Handcrafted in Croyde, North Devon, from 'Silver Clay', a wonderful material made of tiny silver particles that have been recycled from the waste of the silver industry, which when fired become 99.99% pure solid silver.

Each stud has been cast from a tiny little limpet shell that I found on Croyde Beach in North Devon, so is a perfect little silver replica of the original. They measure 10mm by 6mm, are securely soldered to sterling silver ear posts and are sold with sterling silver butterfly backs. They will arrive with you in a Recycled Wild Silver Jewellery box, safely packaged in 100% recycled, plastic free packaging.

Seashells represent prosperity, abundance, and good fortune, and have long been an important symbol in many religions. Wearing a seashell helps to connect to the ocean and the water element, which represents our emotions, thus helping us to balance them and bring healing into our lives.

Limpets in particular are very hardy little creatures that withstand many life threatening dangers, from predators trying to break its grasp of the rock it is attached to, to the damaging effects of the elements at low tide. It achieves all of this by attaching itself to the rock with its super strong muscular 'foot' and storing a little seawater within its shell. We can take these qualities to remember that we too can survive many adverse conditions by keeping ourselves grounded and by surrounding ourselves with a little of the good stuff!. These studs would make the perfect gift for someone who needs a little reminder of their inner strength when it comes to tough times.

I plant a tree for every order placed!
